The Allgäu meadows begin right at the hotel. What could be more beautiful than the sound of cowbells from the nearby Kapf mountain in the evening? Especially lovely on clear, starry nights: sitting comfortably on a bench by the wayside, admiring the Hochgrat mountain, the stars twinkling in the sky.
For us, a sense of belonging, respect, and care for our breathtaking Allgäu nature are paramount. We are committed to the tradition of preserving this region. When it comes to resources, we make carefully considered decisions and weigh them up. This includes regional products as well as Allgäu craftsmanship and local services.
Solar power & CHP unit
Sun that we put to use
We produce solar power, which is particularly efficient in the Allgäu region, as we have so much light and sun even in winter. An efficient combined heat and power plant generates heat for the hotel. At the same time, it produces electricity that we use directly on site.
A charging station for electric cars is located right in our car park.
Cleaning
Considered and mindful
Rooms are cleaned on request, with one cleaning-free day per week. Just let us know if you would like fresh towels or service. We also use digital dispenser systems to dose cleaning agents precisely and thus reduce the use of chemicals.
We work with a modern system of pre-moistened cloths: each cloth is soaked in advance with the exact amount of water and cleaning agent required. This prevents overdosing and noticeably reduces daily water consumption during cleaning.
Mindful handling of food
Appreciation on the plate
This is the most important rule at our breakfast buffet: unpackaged and fresh. We prefer to refill the platters more often and in smaller amounts. That way it stays more appetising until everyone is full and happy, and together we treat food mindfully. Our guests appreciate it very much.
It's good to know one another
Home is a living space
The Allgäu is not only a region with its very own dialect, but also one where old crafts and traditions are still alive. We deliberately work with owner-run family businesses from our neighbourhood: from the laundry and the butcher to our trusted partners in the trades, such as electricians, carpenters and plumbers.
This network matters to us: because the people here are there for one another, stand behind their work and live a fair togetherness as a team.

Dinner is served on request only: just let us know in the morning and we will set a table for you. Afterwards an Allgäu gin from Falkenhütte or a beer in front of the fireplace. Or how about a games night in the garden room?
