Oberstaufen lies in the Nagelfluhkette nature park, in the far south of Germany on the border with Austria and Switzerland. In summer this is a playground for everyone who loves nature and movement.
Hiking, mountain biking, e-biking, a dip in cool water – and when the day has been long enough, a seat on the garden terrace with a view into the green.

Mountains, trails and two wheels
Hiking and cycling paths start right at the house. From easy valley loops to summit tours across the Nagelfluhkette, everything is here – and for the altitude you simply take the mountain railway.
As a partner of Oberstaufen PLUS, mountain railway, e-bike, summer toboggan run, climbing garden, mini golf, bus and regional train are free for you – one benefit day per night.

Eat outside, arrive inside
In summer dinner moves outdoors: onto the terrace by the restaurant, with Allgäu main courses, soups and desserts from the evening menu – on request, please let us know in the morning.
Afterwards an Allgäu gin from the Falkenhütte or a beer by the fireplace – or a games night in the garden room.
